Kapurthala Industrial Corporation (KAP) was established in 1974 by Mr. Harminder Singh, an engineer employed with the Indian Government. He started the business with two machines, operating them himself and producing only coupling nuts.

As the customer base grew, KAP began supplying to BHEL, Indian Railways and the Defence sector. The Punjab Government also recognised the quality of our products by selecting them for the Punjab Quality Mark (PQM).

Until the early 1990s, the company served only domestic clients. In 2001, the company was taken over by Mr. Jaskirat Singh, who is now the CEO.

Facilities

Kapcomponents has in-house facilities for hot forging, cold forging and fabrication, and machining including grinding, milling, turning, tapping, threading, slotting and punching. The company is well equipped with a heat treatment plant, along with electro galvanizing, hot dip galvanizing and nickel electroplating plants. A complete laboratory with chemical and mechanical testing facilities is also available.
